Michael completed five blood donations to assist the Greater San Antonio Area. For the blood donations, he drove a total of 130 miles and spent 10 hours completing the contributions. Mike is the Charter Organization Representative (COR) for Scout Troop 38 and Cub Scout Pack 338 on Randolph Air Force Base. In his capacity as the COR, he participated in five meetings with the Scouting Leadership to ensure the program is well organized and resourced. The Scouting program supports the Randolph Air Force Base community and the Scouts are primarily Children of Active Duty or Veteran Service Members. Michael worked the Greater Randolph Area Veterans Group Parade by lining up participants and handing out flags, with several Boy Scouts, to onlookers. Mike participated in four Roadside Cleanups, ensuring our surrounding area remains unpolluted. He has supported most VPRs this past year. During our National Vietnam Memorial Day Veteran Recognition/VPR, Comrade Mills helped present 25 medals ceremonially. He also generously donated to our Thanksgiving Food Basket Program, ensuring six needy families were fed. Mike supported our second Membership Drive by working the association booth during the Annual Alamo Aloha Fiestival for four hours. He managed to accomplish all this while holding down a full time job. As a Gold Legacy Life Member, Michael D. Mills is more than deserving of recognition at Department level for his efforts.
